Can the programs menu popup have multiple columns instead of scrolling up/down?
Thanks,
Mark.

i dont know, but i have never seen it, so i am guessing it isnt currently possible.
however, if you use the smart menu's option, this hides all the items you dont normally use, so you dont have this problem

Will try it, though strange it is not a real option? Thanks...

well, if you move though several versions of windows, you find that they either have a vertically scrolling programs list, or a multi-column list.
i have never seen an option in windows to switch from one mode to the other.
at a guess OB is simply emulating the current standard.
with the support for plugins in OB 1.15 and above, if a DX plugin / theme can be found that does multi-columns then it
may
be possible to duplicate how it was done there.
the best place for this question is probably the OB newsgroup, since Jeff the developer is know to read that now and then

Well, my XP is currently displaying multiple columns, but as XPs go, the default is the scrolling, at least that 's what I always get on a fresh install... I don't know what I have done in the course of this installation, but at least the option is somewhere built in, that much is sure.

interesting. i have never seen this option before, so had presumed there wasnt one.
in that case, OB needs
more
settings! its to easy to configure

Koasati - OB v1.2 has an "Allow mulitiple colums" setting.
but does that effect the programs list?
in OB 1.20a, i have a shortcut to the special folder "Programs", but cannot find a setting to say "use multiple columns", or any thing that sounds like it.
feline is feeling deprived
i want
more
OB configuration options!

Yes "Allow mulitiple colums" does affect the Programs List. Just got into my Logika XP Object Bar Start menu, and in the "More Programs" section under the "Arrangement" tab is the setting. I just switched it on, and voila, got a muliple column program listing (which I personally prefer over the vertically scrolling list).

Just to clarify, in my Logika ObjectBar theme, the "More Programs" is an ObjectBar section, not a folder. The section Properties has the "Arrangements" tab, which has the "Allow Multiple Columns" setting. The "More Programs" section contains a folder called "All Programs" which actually shows the list of programs from the Windows Start menu. The folder does not have the "Allow Multiple Columns" option.

sometimes it is far from obvious where to find the setting you want in OB
